Brew Ha-Ha Takes Top Spot on TV Review Show

 

The Travel Book Club on the Holiday & Cruise channel has voted African Brew Ha-Ha their travel book of the season.

Broadcasting on Sky 284 this week, presenter Colette Walsh said, 'Alan's won us all over. Tea really does unite people.'

Another reviewer said, ''His writing was like a breath of fresh air. I loved it from the word go. If he speaks as well as he writes, he will be most entertaining!'

The book (my first of two so far on Africa) beat books by Bill Bryson, Rory Stewart, Dave Gorman and Tim Moore among others.

The first television outing for the African Brew Ha-Ha went off without a hitch - in fact, apart from licking my lips incessantly as though I hadn't had a drink in a fortnight, I'm secretly quite pleased with it (don't you just hate smugness in bikers?).

African Holiday Ha-Ha?

The Travel Channel have asked me to guest on their Holiday Show, which airs on Sky Channels 251 & 252.

So if you've got a Sky Box, tune in on Friday April 30th. The show is aired at 6am, 9am, 12n, 4pm & 8pm. It will also go out on Saturday May 1st and Sunday May 2nd.
