I’ve never understood those people who insist
that tea dehydrates. How can a half-pint mug of steaming hot water with a tea bag
floating in it possibly dehydrate?
Anyway, my instinctive response to the health properties of tea has been supported by the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, which
has dispelled the common belief that tea dehydrates.
The journal suggests that tea not only
rehydrates as well as water does, but it can also protect against heart disease
and some cancers.
According to the BBC, somebody called Dr Ruxton
said: "Drinking tea is actually better for you than drinking water. Water
is essentially replacing fluid. Tea replaces fluids and contains antioxidants
so it's got two things going for it."
In the interest of fairness, I should point out that another thing that tea has going for it is the
Tea Council, which provided funding for the research.
Will tell everyone today when we offer tea and they refuse! Well done with all the interest and support for the book. xxJill

I think your spot on. There are so many misconceptions about the benefits of drinking green tea and so many websites think its a scam. The truth is, tons of clinical studies have proven the health benefits of tea.

I have read about the health benefits of tea so many places by now that I am convinced. I have begun drinking green tea every day. My favorites are green teas. I have a special love for the green teas that have been flavored with bits of fruit or fruit rinds. And my favorite source is Golden Mountain Tea House (http://www.goldenmountainteahouse.com/category/green-tea/flavored-green-tea/)
